In 2011, AgriNurture, Inc. (ANI) engaged in the trading and distribution of fresh fruits and vegetables in the Philippines acquired The Big Chill, Inc. (TBCI) as part of its strategy to forward integrate and complete its vision of becoming a global leader in providing nutrition from farm to fork. ANI is engaged in the management and operation of food and beverage outlets under a range of brands that cater to different market segments
Under ANI’s management, TBCI is projected to grow from around P68 million in revenues by year-end 2011 to close to P 1 billion in the next five years primarily through the expansion of its product offering using its stable of brands. It is in TBCI where the Farm-To-Fork Model of ANI comes full circle as majority, if not all products served to customers daily, utilize ANI products. To date, there are eight (8) F&B brands in the TBCI roster catering to a variety of market segments.
The Big Chill and Fresh Bar, a chain of outlets that offers a range of more premium fresh fruit shakes and healthy snacks; Superfresh, a chain of fresh fruit shake and dessert kiosks with mid-priced products; Canecoctions, another kiosk brand engaged in selling fresh fruit shakes with sugarcane juice; and C’Verde, a vegetarian quick-service restaurant (QSR) concept serving delectable vegetable-based appetizers, snacks and rice meals for individuals seeking tasty and exciting meat-free options; Dr. Pearl, is the pearl milk shake kiosk based primarily in provinces within Northern Luzon; Chantilly, is a premium line of drinkable dessert beverages inspired by classic sweets & premium sweet treats.
In 2011, ANI obtained the master franchise for Tully's Coffee, a Seattle-based international coffee brand that prides itself with serving real, authentic handcrafted coffee and artisan food offerings in a community-centered environment. Tully’s first flagship store in the Philippines located at McKinley Park Residences on 31st Avenue, Bonifacio Global City was launched last Novemeber of 2011. It is the first of several shops opened under The Big Chill, Inc. (TBCI), AgriNurture’s retail food & beverage subsidiary. Since the new management believes that the Big Chill is ready to take the next step in growth and has committed to take the company to the next level, it has gone aggressive on marketing since it took over. |
